Overview
alphabroder is one of North America’s leading distributors of trade and retail apparel brands, serving thousands of wholesale customers across the United States and Canada. As a full-time front-end web developer, I spent over four years maintaining and expanding two enterprise-level e-commerce websites — building everything from homepage updates and campaign landing pages to interactive UI components and HTML email templates.
This was high-volume, high-stakes work: every page I built served a national wholesale audience, and every campaign had a hard launch deadline tied to seasonal buying cycles.
Note: alphabroder was acquired by S&S Activewear in 2025. I continue working in a similar capacity as a full-time front-end developer on the S&S Activewear platform.
The Challenge
Managing front-end development for an enterprise B2B platform means constant competing priorities — seasonal campaign launches, homepage refreshes, new product features, and ongoing maintenance — all happening simultaneously across multiple codebases. The creative and product teams had strong visions, but translating those into production-ready, responsive code at speed and scale required someone who could operate fluidly in both worlds: deeply technical enough to build it right, and design-minded enough to build it well.
What I Did
I was responsible for building and maintaining responsive landing pages, homepage updates, and redesigned sections across the platform. I developed conversion-focused landing pages for major campaigns including RetailHQ — a nine-brand hub requiring nine individual branded landing pages, each with distinct styling — and Fashion Feed, a biannual campaign launched each spring and summer.
Beyond campaign work, I built interactive UI components including announcement bars, sliders, and modals. I developed and deployed HTML emails in Klaviyo with dynamic personalization for both transactional and promotional communications. Throughout, I collaborated directly with the director of creative services, senior product manager, and graphic designers.
