Overview
Direct Key & Lock is a locksmith business serving customers across Cypress, TX. When founder Vijay Joshi came to me, the business had no professional web presence—no website, no Google Business Profile, and no foothold in local search. For a service business where customers search in moments of urgency, being invisible online meant losing jobs to competitors every single day.
This was a full-service engagement from day one: strategy, design, development, SEO, and everything in between.
The Challenge
A local service business like a locksmith lives and dies by local search. When someone is locked out of their car at 9pm, they’re not scrolling through referrals — they’re Googling “locksmith near me” and calling whoever shows up first. Direct Key & Lock had no website, no Google Business Profile, and no reviews. They were completely invisible to that search. The goal wasn’t just a good-looking website — it was building the entire online foundation their business needed to compete locally.
What I Did
I handled every part of this project from start to finish. I began with discovery — understanding the business, the services, the target customer, and the local competitive landscape. From there I moved into UI/UX design and wireframing, then built the full WordPress site with a clean, professional design that establishes trust the moment someone lands on the page.
Beyond the build, I set up the full technical stack: hosting, DNS, and SSL configuration. I implemented on-page technical SEO — title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, image optimization, and SEO-friendly URL structure — to give the site the best possible foundation in Google. I also set up and optimized their Google Business Profile, which became a key driver of local visibility and customer reviews after launch.
